I’m engaged! I know it’s not news since it happened on the 26th of November and I’m only posting about it today. A couple of days after the ceremony I dived back into work and related stressful topics. Can’t talk now, gotta bounce. But yes, I’m engaged! And we have selected the date for the big occasion. 🙂

Kipas. Ini saya letak dalam favor bag VIP saja. Mula2 takdak plan nak buat utk VIP, nak buat semuanya sama saja. Tapi dulu saya ada beli kipas ni utk research, sebab planning nak bagi sebagai doorgift kahwin nanti. Pastu dah ada 24 biji, buat kumpul habuk saja bawah katil, jadi saya letak saja dlm goodiebag VIP sbb nak letak utk semua tak cukup. Goodiebag VIP pun sikit saja, utk family Zombee dan kawan2 yg datang dari jauh atau yang tolong2 masa majlis nanti.

p/s: Sangat suka dengan final product goodiebag majlis ni. Sekarang dah berkira-kira idea untuk wedding favor. InsyaAllah saya akan guna beg kertas warna coklat yang orang putih panggil ‘doggy bag’ tu. Letak riben dan doily paper (again!) Saya sangat obses dengan doily paper ni tau!

Entry kali ni nak sembang pasal dulang hantaran pulak. Semua DIY! Budget kan? HAHAHA. Bila dah bincang dengan Zombee, kami buat keputusan, hantaran untuk pertunangan nanti adalah 5 berbalas 7 dulang. Tema pulak, mula2 nak buat pink, Zombee merah, tapi last minit saya tukar ke putih sebab pink tu nak buat untuk nikah nanti, InsyaAllah. Barang pulak, dah beli yang warna pink. So terpaksalah improvise dan beli sikit lagi barang2 warna putih. Saya nak dulang simple2 ja sebab baru bertunang kan. Taknak habiskan kos yang banyak. Barang hantaran pun, simple2 ja. Makanan, kebanyakkannya. Tak ada minyak wangi, tak ada beg tanga, tak ada kasut bagai. Hantaran orang biasa2 je, huhu… 🙂

Bunga artificial putih with a  hint of pink. Tambah pink crystal roses kat tepi, bagi naik seri. Pearl dalam rose tu saya tambah sendiri.
Polisterin sebagai tapak, dibalut crepe paper warna putih, dan dibalut lagi sekali dengan felt paper bercorak keemasan.
Side view dulang. Lekatkan dengan pearl string putih kat bahagian atas dan bawah dulang.
Tadaaa! Produk yang dah siap! Simple aja mbah!

I decided to DIY my handbouquet for the engagement ceremony. I can save budget, and there is always that self satisfaction when you do things with your own hands. It’s a simple one but I love it to bits because I made it all by myself, 100%! I didn’t refer to any tutorials while making it, but I did my research and I have a pretty good idea of what kind of a bouquet I want, so I just go on and do it! Now here are the steps to make your own hand bouquet for brides-to-be out there.
1. You need to prepare the materials and tools first. Get a bouquet of your personally chosen flower. I chose these pinkish-orange roses because they caught my eyes the moment I saw them! And since I want a medium-sized bouquet, I got 2 of them. One costs me about RM18. Next I prepared some duct tape, glue gun, ribbons and a piece of cloth.
2. The first step is, I de-leaf the flowers from each rose. I figured with that much leave it’ll be a messy hand bouquet. But you are welcomed to leave them there. Nice leaves will add a nice touch to the bouquet.
3. Next,  I combined the 2 separate bouquet of flowers to become one, big bouquet. I used duct tape so that it’ll hold better.
4. Next, I cut a piece of cloth and I wrapped it around the duct tape. This is to make the holder appear nicer. I used glue gun to help hold the cloth together so it wont come off from the stem. Don’t forget to glue the tip (root) of the holder to hide those duct tapes!
5. After that, I cut some ribbons and tie them securely around the base of the flowers.
6. Use another ribbon and repeat step 5. You may use as many as you want but make sure it won’t be too crowed or you’ll have a hard time holding on to your bouquet!
7. I found some extra pearl string that I used for the ‘dulang hantaran’ so I decided to glue them around the holder so it wont appear dull. However, if you want a simple hand bouquet, you can just skip this step.
8. Next, I used some pink, smaller pearl string. Cut them into 3 shorter ones. Each string must be able to cover the diameter of the bouquet. Put them on the flower bouquet and make sure each end reaches the base of the bouquet.
9. I tucked the two ends of the pearl string back into the base of the bouquet. There should be some space among the flower stems. After tucking them in, I glued them with the glue gun to secure the strings.
10. Walla! It’s done. It took me about 30 minutes to finish it, surprisingly. Not difficult at all. Here is a view of the end product.
Simple, isn’t it? 7 days to go, and I’m so excited!!! 🙂

Goodiebags sudah siap! Untuk goodiebags majlis tunang , saya beli paper bag kosong warna silver, embossed dengan bunga2 dan tulisan ‘Thank you’. Atas beg tu saya lekat doily paper saiz 5.5″. Dekat bahagian atas doily paper, saya buat riben kecik2 warna merah kemudian lekatkan. Bahagian tengah doily paper pulak saya lekatkan TQ tag bulat2 yang telah direkacipta oleh Zombee! Dia yang design, dia yang gunting bulat2, dia yang pos ke sini. Thank you sweetheart! Ada 2 design, sebab kami suka design yang lain-lain. Jadi supaya tak ada yang merajuk atau kecik hati, kami decide untuk print kedua-dua design dan guna dua design untuk majlis nanti. Baru ja siap lekatkan TQ tags atas beg. Rasa berbaloi penat lelah design dan DIY giftbags ni, sebab untuk diberi kepada kawan2 dan saudara-mara jugak. Sekarang, cuma tinggal nak letak makanan dalam goodiebags ni. Ada sweets, biskut, pudding, wafer, keropok dan jugak sagon atau sagu (ini kes beli sebab packaging comel!). Tak muat dah nak letak air kotak sebab banyak sangat benda, sedangkan beg ni saiz mini ja. 🙂
